Guangxi Medical University, established in Nanning in 1934, is the only medical university in Guangxi co-built by the province and the ministry. It has four campuses, covers seven major disciplines, and has multiple doctoral degree conferral points and post-doctoral research stations. It has been ranked among the top 1000 in the QS World University Rankings for three consecutive years and serves as a high-level centre for medical talent training and research oriented towards ASEAN.
